Hi everyone. This time I will make a pause here to come with something very different. Well, at the end, it's not so different since I will have some simple illustrations here. But, I want to dedicate these pages to a group nice ex-coworkers. And they are the S.H.K. House. Of course for obvious reasons (copyright name/trade brand) the full name of the place won't be revealed. But I will be calling this group "S.H.K Squad"

First of all, I want to tell you that the name of these characters here belong to the proper person in the Squad, however, the information written was just created by myself, in other words, it is pure fiction. Non of these people here has anything to do the information. I just created this with the only purpose of entertaining and having some fun. So, if you find any similarities with the reality, I may say it's pure coincidence :) Ok, let's start with a simple prayer that Jenny as a child used to pray to God and for her future.

This image of this cute little boy named Williams was provided by my dear friend Phoebe who is in fact his mother. The image was turned from original photo to vector and from vector to an old style comic using Photoshop. As many of you know, to use vector take a huge amount of time and mostly you must have a lot of patience. This is not a tutorial that shows the process as you can see, but I can tell you very quickly that for image 2 I used the pentool in photoshop. For image 3, which is the old comic style, I used the same photoshop and with a couple of clicks I created this effect. If you take your time you can get a much better result, but I made this one very quickly because of the lack of time. I just wanted to share the result with you. I hope you enjoy this image!

Paso a Paso: Como Dibujar Labios Realista.

Drawing realistic lips is not difficult at all. Something very important that you have to keep in mind is to be able to play with different kinds of tones and to pay attention to details. In this tutorial, I will show you how to draw realistic lips step by step using black and white color.

Materials/Materiales

* Grey pastel paper/Gris papel para dibjar en pastel

* Black and white pastel pencil, chalk pastel if you want/Lapiz pastel blanco y negro

* Piece of napkin or blender/Un pedaso de servilleta o difuminador

* Eraser/Borra

* Para dibujar labios que luscan realista lo mas importante que tienes que tener en cuenta es tratar de aplicar los diferentes tonos de grises y blenco. Y poner mucha atencion a los detalles. En este tutorial les voy a mostrar paso a paso como dibujar labios realista utilisando color blanco y negro.

1. The first thing we are going to do is to outline the lips. If you want you can include the nose or not. It is optional, just keep in mind that the part we are going to concentrate on is the lips.

   *Lo primero que vamos hacer es crear un boceto bien ligero de los labios. Si quieren pueden incluir la nariz, pero teniendo en cuenta que este es un tutorial de labios.

2. Use black color pencil to create shadows. Pressing the pencil down, we are creating darker areas. In order to create lighter areas, we are going to press the pencil very softly. See images 2 and 3. Then we will smudge using a blender.

   *Vamos a utilizar lapiz de color negro para crear las sombras. Dependiendo de que tan fuerte presiones el lapiz, vamos a crear sombras bien oscuras y otras bien claras. Ver imagen 2 y 3. Luego vamos a suavizar el area usando un difuminador.

3. Now we are going to use white color pencil. Again we have to smudge the color with a blender or napkin. See images 4,5 and 6.

     *Ahora, vamos a hacer lo mismo pero esta vez ulilizaremos lapiz comor blanco. Y de nuevo, vamos a utilizar un difuminador or servilleta para disfuminar.

4. We have to create shadows around the lips to create an illusion of both sides of the face to make it look more realistic, then we have to smooth the color we applied using a piece of napkin.

*Vamos a crear sombras alrededor de los lavios para crear la illusion de ambos lados de la cara para hacerlos lucir mas realistas ulilizando un pedaso de servilleta.

5. Now, we will make all the small details of the lips together with the teeth. We make thin lines on the lips using black and white lines and then smooth them with a blender.

     *Ahora vamos a create los pequenos detalles de los labios y los dientes. Haremos lines pequenas y delgadas utilizando lapiz negro y blanco y luego suavizaremos las lineas con un difumindor.

6. We have to make the bright light reflection on the lips using the white color. See images 16,17 and 18.

Creating a realistic drawing does not require to have an a lot of talent, like many people think. It is more about to have good eyes to be able to catch the most small of the details.

* Para crear un dibujo realista no se requiere tener mucho talento como muchas personas piensan. Pero si se requiere tener buenos ojos para ver pequenos detalles en el dibujo o referencia.

It's also take more extra time because you will have to put on paper as many details as you can see and of course require practice like everything if you want to become better or improve.

* Tambien se toma un mas tiempo porque tendras que poner en papel tanto detalles como pudas, por supesto, se requiere de practica como es de esperarse para llegar a ser mejor cada dia.

In this tutorial I will show you how to draw eyes or to be more specific how to draw an eye using pencil.

*First of all I will tell you the materials I used: (Materiales que utilice)

1.- Mechanical pencil 2h(Lapiz mecanico or de mina 2H)

2.- 6B Pencil (Lapiz 6B)

3.- Eraser (Borra)

4.- Blender (Tortillion)

5.- Sketch Pad (Hoja para boceto)

To create a realistic drawing in this case an eye, the first thing we are going to do is to sketch the drawing. You can use a reference image or whatever you want. You can check these images below and use them as a reference if you don't have any. Also you may stop the video above to check the drawing.

* Para crear un dibujo realistico en este caso un ojo, lo primero que debemos hacer es crear un boceto del dibujo. Puedes usar una imagen como referencia o lo que decees. Puedes chequear las imagenes debajo y usarlas como referencia si no tienes una. Tambien puedes pausar el video que esta al principio de la pagina cuantas veces quiera.

1.- Use machanical pencil 2h to ouline the drawing. The outline has to be really light to avoid mark on the paper.

* 1.- Usa el lapiz de mina 2h para crear un boceto bien ligero sin casi apoyar el lapiz para no dejar marcas.

2.- Use pencil 6b to draw the pupil. Don't forget to leave an empty circle on the pupil for the highlight. Of course that depend on your reference.

* 2.- Vamos a usar el lapiz 6b para dibuar la pupila. No olvides dejar un circulo en la pupila para indicar brillo de la luz. Por supuesto todo depende de la imagen que estes usando como referencia

3.- Now we are going to use the blend from the pupil to the ouside (the Iris) because the Iris will be ligher than the pupil.

* 3.- Ahora vamos a usa el tortillion para disfunimar el relleno que pusimos en la pupila. Lo haremos de adentro hacia afuera hasta rellenar el Iris, puesto que el Iris es mas claro que la pupila.

4-9.- With the 2h pencil we are going to make lines to simulate the lines in the Iris. Later in image 5, we will keep spreading the pencil out to the rest of the Iris. We keep creating lines with the 2h pencil and using the 6b we will make some lines darker in some areas.

* 4-9 Con el lapiz 2h vamos a crear marcas de lines para simular las lineas del Iris. Luego como muestra imagen 5, seguimos difuminando el color del lapiz fuera del resto del Iris. Seguimos creando lineas con lapiz 2h, y usamos el lapiz 6b para crear lineas mas oscuras en algunas partes.

9-17. With the 6b pencil we are going to make the circle of the Iris draker and use the blender to make the lines softer. Let's make the line of the upper eye using the same the 6b pencil and soften the lines again with the blender. Make some shadow inside/outside the eye. It has to be really light without pressing the pencil, otherwise will leave marks that we don't want. You can also use a piece of napkin to soft the shadow. I used in image 14.

* 9-17.- Con el lapiz 6b vamos a crear el circulo del Iris un poco mas negro y usamos el tortillion para disfiminar las lineas y hacer lucir mas suaves. Vamos hacer las lineas de arriba del ojo usando el lapiz 6b y suavisandolas con el tortillion de nuevo. Tambien vamos a crear sombras alrededor del ojo dentro/fuera. Esto debe ser creadas bien ligeras y suaves porque no queremos dejar marcas. Tambien puedes usar un pedaso de servilleta como muestra la imagen 14.

18-26.- These images show how the eye will look after the description of the steps above. Also note that I use the eraser to make highlight of reflexion of light on the Iris.

* 18-26 .- Muestra como luce el dibujo despues de los pasos descriptos anteriormente. Ademas se nota como he ulitilizado la borra para crear los reflejos de las luces en le Iris.

29-37.- I added some wrinkles below the eyes to make it more realistic. In Image 34 I started to add the eyelashes. The eyelashes are thicker from the eye to outside. Add as many as you want depend on your reference and also pay atention to the direction of the them. Note that the eyelashes in the lower part are thinner, lighther and shorter.

* 29-37.- Yo agrege algunas lineas debajo del ojo para hacerlo mas realista. En la imagen 34 ya empese a agregar las pestanas. Las petanas son mas gruesas de adentro hacia fuera. Las que van pegadas de los ojos son mas gruesas que las que terminan. Agrege tanta como sea necesario de acuerdo a la referencia que esta usando. Se debe poner atencion a las direcciones de estas. Note que las pestanas en la parte debajo son mas delgadas, mas claras y mas cortas.

38. In this image I am adding some lines that we have in the eyes. If you open your eyes and look close to it, you can see small blood vessels. You can use the 2h pencil and add then randomly without pressing the pencil, very light. Images 39-41 I kept adding eyelashes.

* 38. Imagen 38.- Es esta imagen estoy agregando mas pestanas al ojo. Si abres los ojos y miras dentro con cuidado, veras algunas vesiculas de sangre. Puedes usar lapiz 2h para agregarlas. Recuerdad debes usar el lapiz sin precionar fuerte. Imagenes 39-41 yo continuo agregando mas perstanas.

ENG: Hi guys, this time I came with a video drawing of a video game Monster Hunter. This is a serie of game where people have to search for monsters. It is not a tutorial but still I show the whole process in speed drawing. Definitly, drawing monster is a time consuming specially because of all the details of the skin. It took me more than usual. Pastel Drawing with Photoshop Effect

In this tutorial I will show you a simple way of how to add rain effect with Photoshop to your image.
Before After

1.- Open an image, in this case I used one of my pastel drawings Lightning sky "Angry Sky"

2.- Add a new layer: Go to: Layer, New, Layer. Shortcut (Shift+Ctrl+N)

3.- Fill the new Layer with black color. To do that be sure that the Foreground Color is black and then use the Paint Bucket Tool then click on the new layer to fill it with black color.

4.- Go to Filter, Render, Fibers.

5.- Set the Variance to 64 and click ok. Then set the opacity to 31%. After that go to Filter, Blur, Motion Blur. Where it says Angle you will choose the direction of the rain. I chose 55 degree. And where it says Distance you will choose how much rain you want. I chose 25 pixels

6.- Then you will end up with somthing like this. If you want you can go to Image, Levels and play with the darkness and light by moving the black and white pointers. And this is a simple way of how to add rain effect with Photoshop.

Tutorial: How to Draw Yuna from Final Fantasy

                    [English/Spanish]

   ENG: When I was a child, I used to play video games, well to be honest only once in a while since I wasn't that facinated by it. It's because I have never been crazy for that kind of entertainment, in fact I wasn't a follower. However, I have to admit that time change and so does the way those game were created. What I mean with that is that those games now are more and more real.

     I tell you this because one day I was watching a trailer on tv and I said to myself "um, that seems a good movie to watch" but I was immensely suprise when I realized it wasn't a movie trailer but a trailer from a video game O.O. Honestly, I was shocked by the technology of the game. After that, I decided to go to the internet and check which one are the most popular right now. That was when I came across Final Fantasy x.

     Maybe you already know, but for those who don't know Final Fantasy is a series of video games that was realease 1987. I am not completely sure but some one told me that the the letter x from Final fantasy x means tittle number ten. But, it is not only the animation and realism of the game that catch people's attention, but it is also the incorporated voice acting feature, which is also different from older games.

      Well, this is where my inspiration of drawing Final Fantasy Yuna came from. Yuna is the main female character from this game and her priority is to become Summoner like her father is.

To draw Final Fantasy Yuna I used chalk pastel , pastel pencil, pastel paper and eraser. Beside you can see the sequence of steps I took for this drawing. As usual on the top you can watch the video in time lapse. The drawing took me almost one hour. As I told you before, it you are beginner, please to sketch it first, which will make life much easier. Take a took at those steps and leave your comment if you have any questions. I hope you enjoy it!

     ESP: Cuando era chica, yo acostumbraga a jugar juegos de videos, bueno para ser sincera no muy a menudo ya que no me sentia muy atraida por ellos. Pues ni tampoco era una fanatica seguidora. Pero debo admitir que los tiempos cambian y asi tambien los cambiaron la manera que los juegos fueron creados. Con esto me refiero a que estos juegos cada vez son mas y mas reales.

Les digo esto por que estaba mirando un avance/trailer en la tv y luego me dije a mi misma "um creo que deberia ir al cinema a ver esta pelicula" Pero mi sorpresa fue major cuando me di cuenta de que no era en realidd una pelicula sino unos avances o trailers de un juego de video O.O. Honestamente, me quede sorprendida de la calidad, tecnologia, disenos o quisas todos estos puntos juntos al mismo tiempo. Luego de esto decidi ir al internet a enterarme cuales de estos juegos son los mas populares hoy en dia, y fue cuando me encontre con Fantasia Final x, (no estoy segura si esta es la real traduccion en espanol).

Talvez ya ustedes lo sabran, pero para eso que no los saben, Fantasia Final es una serie de juego de videos que fue lanzado en el 1987. No estoy completamente segura pero alguien me comento que la letra x se refiere al titulo numero diez. Pero no es solo el realismo de los juego que atrapa a la atencion, pero tambien tambien la voz de los actores que les fueron incorporados a los personajes de estos juegos, diferente a los de anos anteriores.

Pues, de aqui fue donde me salio la inspiracion de dibuar a el persunaje de Yuna, la cual es el principal personaje femenino y su preoridad es llegar a ser convocadora como su pader.

Para este dibujo yo utilice, pastel de barras, lapiz pastel, papel pastel y una borra. A los lados pueden observar los pasos tomados para la realizacion de este dibujo y al principio de la pagina pueden ver el dibujo en forma rapida. El dibujo me tomo como una hora en terminarlo. Como les habia comentado en otros dibujos, traten de crear un boceto primero, esto les simplificara el dibujo. Echenle un vistaso a los pasos y si tienen alguna pregunta pueden dejar su comentario. Espero lo disfruten.

HOW TO DRAW IRON MAN - WITH SOFT PASTEL

1. In this tutorial I am going to show you how to draw Iron Man with soft pastel. Sketch the drawing first. As I told you before in my other drawing it is better if you sketch the drawing first. In image 1, even though you don't see it, I already sketched the drawing.
* En este tutorial les voy a ensenar como dibujar El hombre de acero. Primero se debe hccer un boceto del dibujo como alguna vez les habia mencionado, en otros tutoriales. Con el boceto les sera mucho mas facil aplicar el pastel. En la imagen uno, quisas no se puede apreciar bien, pero yo cree un boceto primero.

2.- Use white pastel to paint the drawing. The light is coming from the right side of the super hero, so on this side you have to press a little bit harder because the light is stronger.
* Utilice pastel blanco para pintar el boceto. La luz viene desde el lado derecho de El hombre de acero, por tal razon en ese lado el color blanco debe ser mas intenso.

3.- Use white pastel pencil to draw the edge of the sketch. See image 3.
* Utilice el color de pastel blanco para dibujar la orilla de boceto. Ver imagen 3

4. In image 4 you have to erase the white color a little bit to emphasize the dark area, suggesting that in this area there is less light.
* En la imagen 4 debes usar borrador y borrar un poco el blanco para que se vea el fondo negro del papel y enfatisar que en eso lado hay menos luz.

6.- With black pastel pencil we are going to draw the area around the eyes. Even though the pastel paper is dark, we have to use black pastel pencil to make this area look darker to give the impression of depth. See image 6.

7.- We are going to do like we did in image 3. Let's use pencil to draw some thinner lines. See image 7.

8.- Use the white pastel to make some areas look whiter.

10. Smudge the pastel.

11. Let's paint the hand of Iron Man. Use the chalk white pastel for the fingers.

12.- Smudge the color that we applied on the hand and use the white pastel pencil to draw the lines around the fingers to make the white color stronger.

13.- Sorry, this was supposed to be image 12, but in both images 13 I am applying white pastel and smudge the color.

14.- Now we have to draw a circle on the hand where it supposed to be a very strong light.

16. Apply the white pastel color and smudge with your finger.

17.- Use the pencil to draw the edge of the different parts of the finger.

18.- Use black pastel to apply color on the edge of the hand as you see in image 18. Then smudge the color.

24.- Use black color to make this area of the metal darker and smudge the color.

26. Make the white color stronger and spread it out a little bit out of the circle. See image 26.

As many of you know, Sharingan is a super powerful ability that some of the ninjas from the Naruto anime series have. This weapon is really powerful. Those who have the sharingan supernatural power can anticipate, copy and memorize every single movement from the opponent even before the enemy can even think about it. In other words, they can copy the jutsu. The weapon can be seen in the eyes of the ninja from the Uchiha clan. However, Kakashi has an implanted sharingan in his left eye. He got this implant from one of his friends when that friend died. That's the reason Kakashi has to cover his left eye when he is not in combat, because he is not part of the Uchiha clan and his shakra is always in action spreading very quickly.

THE LAST AIRBENDER Character

ENG: This is a drawing of Aang, the main character of the action fantasy movie "The Last Airbender".
In this drawing, like most of my drawings, I used soft pastel (chalk pastel). It took me like about 1 hour and a half to finish it. Compared to my other drawings, this one was pretty easy and quick to finish. The reason I think was because this cute boy, Aang has no hair lol. So, this allowed me to avoid the tedious work of drawing details of the hair. At the end of the video I created a very simple drawing effect with Adobe Photoshop in Aang's head and eyes. The effect was applied only at the end of the drawing. I added glow to the eyes and the arrow on top of the head. Below, on the left side you will see the image of the final drawing using pastel only and on the right side the effect with photoshop was already applied.

ENG: This is a new character design I call ``Lord Farmore``.   I haven`t finished it yet since I still have to ink it, also I may change some of the features. The costume was inspired by a legend of Warwick Castle. While I was designing this character the following story just entered my mind. It`s purely fictional and created by myself:
     Farmore risked his own life whilst protecting his village from being destroyed by a vicious Leviathan. This brave warrior was born from a beautiful woman named Astrid. The identity of Farmore`s father has never been revealed, but it is evident that Farmore descended from somebody with great power or strength since he had excelled in battle since he was a young teenager.

ESP: Este es un personaje que he disenado, lo he llamado ``El Senor Farmore``. No lo he terminado todavia porque debo pasarle tinta, tambien podria cambiar algunas caracteristicas. El traje fue inspirado por la legenda del castillo de Warwick. Mientras yo estaba creando el boceto de este personaje, la siguinte historia me llego a la cabeza. DRAWING TIPS - WHEN IT COMES TO DRAWING

When it comes to drawing in general, there are a few things that I would like to point out:

1.- It doesn't matter at what age you start to draw. You are never too old or too young.

2.- Try to practice at least once every day. It's not important what kind of object you want to draw. The essential thing here is to practice.

3.- When you draw something, and you don't like it - don't throw it away! You can always go back and fix it later.

4.- Save your drawings because this way you can always compare your new drawings with the old ones. You will be amazed to see how much you have improved!

5.- Never, NEVER give up!! You are not going to master something at the first shot. If you do it, congratulations! But remember there is always something to learn.

6.- When you draw something, try not to trace it. It will be hard to develop your skill if you keep tracing every time you draw.

7.- Always try to increase the degree of difficulty.

8.- Be sure to pay a lot of attention to the shadows and lights of the object you are drawing.

9.- Observe!! It is VERY important that you see details when you draw. This can make a big difference in your drawing.

10.- And finally, here is my motto: "It doesn't matter what you draw, just draw and practice, because practice makes perfect.

ENG: This is a drawing of Naruto with chalk pastel. I drew Naruto couple of months ago then I posted in Youtube and it wasn't until now that I decide to post it in my blog to share it with all of you. Like almost every body knows, Naruto is the main character of the anime series Naruto. Before I colored this character I used ink to kind of sketch it. Then, I used chalk pastel to color it. To me coloring Naruto with chalk pastel it wasn't much different from using pencil. I believe that it was kind of easy in fact, and it was easy to bend the color together to create shadow. As you could see in the video, I applied the base color first, then I shadow and darker color on top. To color cartoons is with pastel is a very easy way to learn using pastel if you are new with this medium because the processes of coloring is very simple.

Yo dibuje a Naruto hace unos meses luego los subi a Youtube y no fue hasta ahora que me parecio buena idea subirlo a mi blog para compartirlo con ustedes. Como casi todos saben, Naruto es el personaje de la serie de anime llamado Naruto. Anted de colorear a este personaje de anime, yo cree un boceto con tinta/pluma. Luego utilice pastel en barras para colorearlo. La verdad que colorear a Naruto con chalk pastel no fue tan diferente como colorear con lapiz. Mas bien me parecio facil de hecho. Y tambien fue facil mesclar los colores para crear las sombras. Como pueden ver en el video, yo aplique la base de color primero luego encima la sompra or colores mas oscuro. Colerear dibujos animados usando pastel de barras es una manera de aprender a usar pastel si estas aprendiendo a usar la tecnica del pastel ya que el proceso de colorear lo es bien sencillo.

Beginning of Tutorial:

1.- Take a piece of dark pastel paper

2.- Make an outline this way would be easier to apply the pastel where it's required

3.- Start applying the color on the face (always start to apply the color from the back to the front, or from under to the top. For example, in this case the face is under the hood is on the top. Start with the face that is under. Use a chalk pastel to apply a base skin color.

4.- Then try to find the color closer to the skin color. I used a pinkish color. Use napkin to spread the color.

5.- Use an eraser to erase the excess of pastel that came out of the outline.

6.- Try to outline the line of the eyes and nose with black pastel pencil.

..don't forget the eyebrows.

6.- Apply dark pastel chalk on the left side of the face and nose. There is light coming from the right side so the left side there is small shadow.

7.- Apply some skin color pastel on the left side close to where you applied the dark shadow.

8.- On the nose apply a lighter skin color to create some highlight.

9.- Apply white pastel color on the face to create some white highlight spot. Softly, spread the white color with your finger.

10.- Now we are going to start with the hood. Apply the color to draw the hood and spread the color with a napkin as before.

11.- Let's apply white color to create a highlight on the front hood.

12.- With black chalk pastel, create lines of shadow to give the impression that the hood had some part folded or wrinkle.

13.- Make the white highlight stronger and smooth it with your finger or napkin.

14.- Now, let's color the eyes. Use yellow color to color the Iris, (you can use whatever color you want to apply) and black for the pupil. Then use white pastel pencil to create a highlight. On the right side of the face, there is a very soft shadow close to the right eyes. With dark pastel, create this shadow very slightly.

15.- Let's apply pink color on the lips. The mouth is closed, so after applying the pink color, take a dark pastel pencil and draw a line in between the upper and lower lips to give impression of closed lips.

16.- Under the nose, there is a highlight there. With the white pastel pencil, apply white color.

17.- Let's draw the laser sword. With white pastel, draw a thick diagonal line from top to bottom. After that use your finger to make the white pastel smooth and more natural.

18.- On one side of the white diagonal line, apply blue color with the chalk pastel. Use the piece of napkin to soften the out side blue area, (make the blue color close to the white color stronger)

19.- Do the something with the inside area of the white color. Apply blue and use napkin or finger to soften the outside blue color. This way the outside blue color won't look so strong but the inside.

To soften the outside blue color will give the impression that the farther the blue color is from the white the softer the blue color is. Like if the blue light is fading away.

Final result: and now you have a realistic drawing face!

The Dinosaur from the Turok Game: Pastel Drawing

One day a friend of mine told me how it would be to draw a dinosaur with soft pastel. She said she would like to see me drawing that. So, I took my pastel chalk and paper and I saw this scary image from the Turok Game and I decided to draw it. I started to sketch it with regular pencil but I realized people would not be able to see the sketch because the paper was dark. That's why I decided to sketch it with white pencil. This image is the final result of how the drawing came out.

This is an Avatar manipulation I made with Adobe Photoshop. I replaced Jake Sully for my friend's son, his name is Julen.

Julen is a fan of Avatar, and like most of the children, he likes fantasy story. It took me couple of minutes to do that. It is not a professional work but I had so much fun playing around with adobe.

     What do you think about the Avatar movie? Well, I know a few people that didn't like it (probably those that are not into Sci-Fi), but I loved it!!!! I thought it was absolutely amazing!

     It's not very often that you walk out of the movie theater thinking "This was the best film I've ever seen".

     But this was certainly one of those time, and as always when I see something cool or beautiful, it gives me the inspiration for a new drawing project, a realistic drawing with soft pastel. It first came to my mind to draw Jake Sully, but I said to myself, "I have to draw Neytiri too"

Steps: Avatar Painting

I used black pastel paper because I wanted the background to be dark, but you can use the background that you like. I recommend to sketch first before applying the pastel.

1.- Apply the soft chalk pastel inside the area of the face already sketched and use tissue to smudge. I used light blue color (if you don't feel happy with the amount of pastel you used, apply more until you feel satisfy image

2.- Use black pastel chalk to make the area of the hair darker, starting from the head and moving down to the are of the shoulder where hair will lie.

3.- Apply blue color to the shoulders and neck and again use tissue or fingers to smudge. Don't forget the ears. Inside the ears use bit of pink to give the impression of skin color. To make the earring apply black colour with round shape.

4.- With the white pastel pencil, make the braids. Make lines with short curves to give the appearance of braids. Do not braid the whole head; leave some areas without braids to give the impression of depth, so the braid will stand out (you can put some brown color on top of the white. This way the braids won't look too white.

5.- Outline the are of the eyes with black pastel pencil and the area of the nose with dark blue pastel pencil.

6.- Start to create the white highlight on the face.

7.- Let's start to make the blue dark pattern on the face. When you finish with that use pink color for the tip of the nose.

8.- Lets continue with the mouth. Apply pink color very lightly on the lips and on top of that a bit of blue. To outline the lips, use the same light blue color pastel chalk you use for face.

9.- Use yellow color to paint the eyes leaving a small circle for the pupils. Apply black color on the pupils (even though the paper is black, it is good idea to use black color for the pupils because it will make the pupil to look darker.

10. Use white color for the highlight on the eyes and a little of blue for the blue reflection.

11.- On the left side of the face, create a stronger white highlight using white pastel.

12.- Now we are going to make the line between the upper and the lower lips with the black pastel pencil, if needed put little more of pink color.

13.- Draw the necklace and feathers.

14.- A very important characteristic of this Avatar is the small dots on the face. Use white pastel to do that.

A Realistic Drawing

Remember, there are many ways to draw with pastel. This is one way of many to apply color, but this one work best for me. It is always a very good idea to try different ways to draw with pastels. The Beauty of the Lightning: Angry Sky

Pastel Painting: Angry Lightning Sky

     This painting was done approximately one year ago. It was one of my first video I posted on Youtube. I drew it on black pastel paper with chalk pastel . That day was a really rainy day. There was not lightning but it was overcast. I have always been captivated by the different colors of the sky. It is like with every different color the sky is trying to speak and say something, something that maybe we understand but we prefer to ignore.

   Nevertheless, on this particular day I was willing to draw the sky no matter what, but the day certainly wasn't like I was expecting if for my drawing. To me a perfect scenario would be a clear, sunny day to put on paper the wonderful natural and shiny colors that only mother nature can provide. I was getting my material ready, but really slowly because I wanted to give mother nature the chance to change its mood. However, after waiting for a while, it seemed like she didn't want to give up. She seemed really sad, like we had done something really terrible to her. Well, we certainly have done! So, I said to myself, why not to draw mother nature in action, at her best? Not just a rainy, gray day, but a really furious one with lightning and flashes. After all, lightning and thunder are also part of mother nature's beauty.

A Realistic Drawing - Video Pencil Drawing

Drawing Introduction:

Drawing is a wonderful way to express yourself! It is not hard to draw and most importantly of all -it is fun! People have been enjoying the art of drawing for ages, literally: the first drawings known by mankind were discovered in stone age caves in northern Spain and in the southwest of France dating to about 25000 years ago (!). So why don't you follow in the footsteps of these ancient artist and put your pencil, chalk or brush to paper. There are many different drawing media to choose from. All you have to do is to try them out until you find the one (or the ones) that suit you the best and that you feel most comfortable with. For myself, my favorite media are soft chalk pastels, charcoal and pencil, very much because they give me the freedom to blend without using a brush.

One day one of my Youtube subscribers asked me: is there a secret behind the way you draw? She said to me. I didn't have an immediate answer to the question, but next time when I started to draw I realized that what I actually do is to look at shapes instead of the actual object. In my opinion to see or observe is more important than the drawing skill itself.

TUTORIAL PENCIL DRAWING:
This is the final drawing result of this tutorial

1.- On a white paper make a very light outline (do not press down the pencil on the paper if you want to make it look a realistic drawing. When you make the outline with strong lines, the drawing may look unrealistic like a cartoon)

2.- Wherever there is strong shadow, make this line darker. You can use the blending thump to help the lines look softer (optionally you can use Q-tips)

3.- With the pencil, go over the lines that look darker and make it little bit stronger than the softer shadow.

4.- To draw the drops of water, make a semi-circle with the pencil, then use the blending thump to make it from darker to softer and use the eraser to make tiny white spot in the middle of the circle. Do not close the circle, remember that it is a semi-circle

5.- To make the lower side of the bottle, repeat the same process as before (step 2). It it turns too dark use the eraser.

6.- Continue with the neck of the bottle. In this pencil drawing tutorial, you have to look really careful and fine the darkest spot on the neck of the bottle and make it darker.

7.- The water stream of water falling into the glass also has two darker spots on the top right and two on the left side, separated from one another by white space in the middle.

8.- The edge of the glass also has couple of darker shadows and also on the side

9.- Use the blending thump to create the illusion of the water inside in the bottom of the the glass. Remember we want to make this look like a realistic drawing. For this you don't need to use the pencil, the blending thump have residue from the pencil. Make a semi-circular movement and then with the pencil make darker mark. Leave some white spot, use eraser if need it.

10.-Draw the drops of water from the glass the same way you drew the drops before (see step 4).

11.- Create the shadow from the glass, very light and soft shadow. The light comes from left to right. Use tissue to soften the shadow

12.- Now sketch the lid of bottle and apply shadow. I use electronic eraser to make the white spot but you can use any eraser that has small edge.
